BOULDER, COLORADO (March 16, 2011) – Being rewarded for being in the right booth at the right time, Backcountry Experience (www.bcexp.com) of Durango, Colo., was named the winner of Movement Skis 2011 “See the Line, Ski the Line†contest.
The “See the Line, Ski the Line†promotion was open to all retailers at January’s Snowsports Industries of America show in Denver, Colo. To enter, retailers merely had to book an appointment to look through the Swiss-designed brand’s 2012 arsenal of big mountain freeride and freestyle skis.
As the contest winner, Backcountry Experience will receive a pair of Movement Trusts, a high-energy all-condition charger with 108 mm underfoot, a rockered tip, and exceptional expectations for the coming winter sales season.
“These skis speak for themselves,†said Jonathan Degenhardt, Brand Manager for Movement Skis. “What better way to spread the word about Movement’s performance-driven design than to put a great retailer on a great pair of skis.â€
Aggressive and powerful, the Trust (MSRP: $949.95) is capable of extraordinary performance in all conditions. Long early-rise rocker tips help the rider in difficult snow conditions, providing great stability at high velocity.
With a rock solid 108 mm underfoot, the Trust will be available in three lengths for 2012, including 178 cm (140-108-129), 186 cm (141-108-129) and 194 cm (141-108-129).
Movement’s superior reputation for distinctive and dynamic skis derives from their proprietary Control Torsion System (CTS) ski construction technology, which blends torsional stiffness with round longitudinal flex to maximize performance and enjoyment in every snow condition.
Like all Movement Skis, the Super Turbo features pure wood ski core construction, certified sustainable by FSC and PEFC organizations; high molecular weight bases for speed and performance; extra-thick mounting plates and rubber reinforced edges for extreme durability; exclusive high energy laminates and fibers for customized performance; and unique shock absorption technologies for a smooth and perfect ride, every time.
