BACKPACKER AND SKIING MAGAZINE LAUNCH NATIONWIDE 2014 GET OUT MORE WINTER TOUR GOING TO 50 U.S. RETAILERS
BOULDER, Colo. (October 2014) – Backpacker and Skiing Magazine announce the launch of the 14th annual Get Out More Tour, an interactive mobile media and education outreach program inspiring readers and encouraging participation in active outdoor pursuits. The Get Out More Tour, which takes place from October 17, 2014 to February 23, 2015, will stop at 50 U.S. retail venues throughout the United States providing consumers with gear, outfitting and travel advice.
“The Get Out More Winter Tour collaborates with specialty outdoor retailers to engage with consumers one on one who are eager to get outdoors and are seeking recommendations to ensure the best possible experience,” said Caitlyn Pepper, Event Marketing Manager at AIM Media. “At each retail stop, the Get Out More Tour brings the pages of Backpacker Magazine to life. Hosted by seasoned outdoor athletes and, with the support of our 12 sponsors, we are presenting a very robust program on the latest technologies, best practices and what is trending in outdoor travel.”
Professional, experienced, and highly skilled winter tour ambassadors, Robin McElory and Sarah Scott, will represent Backpacker and Skiing Magazine. While on tour, they live the Get Out More mantra, skiing, mountaineering, and enjoying the great outdoors along the way.
