Baltimore-Based 180s Renews Allegiance to Downtown Baltimore

180s, a leading manufacturer of cold weather performance accessories, today renewed its allegiance to downtown Baltimore and will moves its office to the E.J. Codd building, at 700 South Caroline Street, Baltimore. All employees will move to the new space, designed specifically for 180s, from the company’s previous office at nearby 701 East Pratt Street on Pier Six.

Part of downtown Baltimore’s landscape since 1851 and its industrial age, the E.J. Codd building was initially occupied by the E.J. Codd Company, which manufactured boilers and parts for barges and boats. Shell casings were also made at the site during World War II. A complete renovation in 2004 by Struever Bros., Eccles & Rouse maintained the historic integrity of the building while also helping to revitalize the neighborhood. Today, the space is well suited for 180s specific needs, with an open floor plan that enables a collaborative work environment.

180s signed a 10-year lease for the space, which allows opportunity for future growth and expansion. All of the metal used in the renovation for 180s is recycled, and the wood from the previous occupants will be re-used in upcoming construction projects.
