2013 is LOWA’s 90th anniversary and this deserves a big celebration. On Thursday, August 1, all Outdoor Retailer show-goers are invited to drop by LOWA booth #32126 for some revelry. LOWABrau beer will be served starting at 5:00pm. Stainless commemorative beer mugs will be sold at $5 each and $5 raffle tickets will be available for a pair of special anniversary boots. All proceeds will donated to Big City Mountaineers, mentors of under-resourced urban teens.
And that is not all. Austrian mountaineer and LOWA celebrity, Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner, the first woman to summit all 14 8,000-meter peaks without supplemental oxygen or porters, will be on hand to sign posters.
