Granite Gear Welcomes Benjamin Landry as Design & Development Manager

Granite Gear is thrilled to announce the hiring of Benjamin Landry as the company’s new Design & Development Manager. Joining the company with an impressive portfolio of industrial design experience in soft goods, Landry will spearhead the design team as they continue to refine and evolve the identity of Granite Gear.

Landry’s experience ranges from sewing to product design at Mile High Mountaineering, Mystery Ranch and, most recently, Under Canvas. Combined with his past role as a Product Designer at Granite Gear, Landry’s acquired skills made him the ideal hire for the position. Landry’s most important responsibility at Granite Gear will be to lead and manage the design and development of backpacks, packing systems, portage packs and travel gear – from concept to production.

“My experience as a Production Sewer and Repair Specialist at Mystery Ranch in conjunction with my previous design knowledge has really changed the way I look at the design and development process,” said Landry. “I’m looking forward to thoughtful innovation and clear communication with international partners along the way.”

As an avid user of outdoor gear for backpacking, skiing, climbing and fly fishing, Landry uses his talents to build gear for himself and others who value a quality outdoor experience.
