Bergans to Introduce Expanded Summer Line at OR Summer Market

New Packs and Lifestyle Clothing Highlight Summer ’15 Collection

Longmont, CO – July 28, 2014 – Bergans of Norway, known for its technical alpine outwear and backpacks, will introduce its expanded summer collection at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in August.

Highlights of the new summer 2015 collection include the new Trollhetta backpacks, a complete collection of summer lifestyle clothing for warmer days, and lightweight technical outwear suitable for summer alpine adventures.

Bergans lifestyle clothing collection for Summer 2015 will feature more than 30 new and current styles ranging from casual shirts, shorts, pants and travel wear. The new Marstein Shirt and Moa shorts are examples of Bergans commitment to producing lifestyle clothing that is as at home in the mountains as it is around town.

“We are excited about the new lifestyle clothing line. It is the best summer collection ever for North America,” states Bergans USA VP of Sales and Marketing Keith Patterson. “With the increased number of summer focused styles and new color ways, retailers will have more options to choose from and ultimately a stronger offering of Bergans for their customers year round.”

Bergans will also introduce the new Trollhetta pack line which builds on the company’s Spine® carrying system used on the award-winning Glittertind pack. The new “Spine® Adjustable” system provides torso length adjustability for a perfect fit without sacrificing the comfort and flexibility of the Spine system. The Trollhetta line also includes new technical features, such as multi-point adjustable top tension straps, a new 3D-style hip belt, and a top lid that converts into an integrated daypack.

Keeping with their heritage of producing technical alpine outerwear, Bergans will unveil several ultra-light, weatherproof and highly breathable technical pieces. The Solund Jacket and Bera Pants offer the protection necessary for summer mountain adventures, yet remain extremely lightweight and highly packable.

Retailers with questions about the about the new system can contact Keith Patterson at keith.patterson@bergans.com. To learn more about Bergans and its products, go to www.bergans.com.
