Berghaus Wins Best New Gear Award From The Gear Institute
Hyper Jacket Takes Honors at ORSM 15
Known for innovation, quality construction and durability, Berghaus is proud to receive a Best New Gear Award from The Gear Institute for their Hyper Jacket from their VapourLight line of super light technical mountain apparel. The honor, bestowed at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market ‘15 shows that quality and performance can come in ultra lightpackages.
When asked about the features that drew Gear Institute’s eye, Executive Editor and co-founder Justin Nyberg said,“It’s just a really cool jacket. The special PU coating and construction of the Hydroshell Hyper fabric and taped seams makes it really waterproof yet somehow doesn’t add weight. It’s the lightest jacket we’ve found and it’s quite inexpensive. You can’t ask for much more out of a running jacket.”

“We are really honored to be presented with the Best New Gear Award from The Gear Institute,” said Walt Crate, President, Berghaus USA. “Innovation is always at the forefront for our product design and brand, and this recognition is a fantastic validation of the work we’ve done and motivator for the work we’re going to do.”
The Gear Institute’s Best New Gear Awards are awarded to the most innovative products for the next year’s retail season.
