Oct. 15, 2019 – BERINGIA™ , the development-driven outerwear brand that designs technical mountain apparel using the most advanced engineered fabrics and natural fibers launches today in North America. BERINGIA™ creates beautiful, functional clothing that helps you explore the outdoors in the most direct and unmediated fashion.
BERINGIA™ represents the global evolution of the cult Japanese brand Teton Bros. Since 2007, Tokyo-based Teton Bros. has built a reputation for delivering the finest in Japanese textile technology and craftsmanship to the mountain experience, until now only available in the Japanese market. A longtime friendship and a shared passion for the mountains and ocean brought Teton Bros. founder Nori Suzuki together with international brand creator Robert “Bernie” Bernthal to showcase Japanese technical design innovation to the world.

For Fall 2019 BERINGIA™ unveils a specialty outdoor apparel collection utilizing exclusive fabric developments with Polartec®. On its award-winning Tsurugi Jacket, BERINGIA™ uses a custom Polartec® NeoShell, specific to the brand.
Partnerships that bring together locally-based artisans with the highest-quality performance textiles are at the core of BERINGIA™ apparel. BERINGIA™ has partnered with luxury wool makers from the famed Bishu region of central Japan to apply their prized, proprietary techniques to performance-based apparel. Garments from BERINGIA’s ‘Masters of Bishu’ collection, like the Farallon Wool Plaid Shirt, feature the finest wool fibers with environmental breakthroughs in wool processing, including the use of Japanese “Regenerative Wool.”
BERINGIA’s North American headquarters is located in Bozeman, Mont., along with a design lab and retail store in Tokyo, Japan. North American sales will be with select partners and on beringia.world.
