Big City Mountaineers and Mammut Announce Pitches With Pros Winners

Big City Mountaineers, the nation’s leading volunteer organization devoted to mentoring urban teens during wilderness trips, announces the winners of Mammut’s Pitches with Pros raffle benefiting BCM’s summer programs.

The raffle winners were drawn at the Ouray Ice Festival in January. Each winner will collaborate with his or her new Mammut-sponsored climbing partner for location, date and type of climbing.

“I can’t think of a better way for our athletes to get involved for a greater good that actually changes the lives of young people,” said Mike Welch, national sales manager of Mammut USA. “The nature of athletes in our industry is so often about exploring remote areas for the personal challenge, which is impressive in itself. Widening the scope of why we explore the outdoors to a program that shares it with teens in challenging environments, and who might not otherwise be able, is something we are really proud to support.” Mammut also contributes to Big City Mountaineers by outfitting climbers for the Summit for Someone benefit climbs.
