Gazelle Announces Their First Class 3 Belt Drive eBike: The Ultimate C380+

SANTA CRUZ, CA – Further expanding their innovative and award-winning line of Ultimate electric bikes, Gazelle Bikes today announces the addition of the top-end Ultimate C380+, the first Class 3 belt-driven bike in their fleet.

The Gazelle Ultimate C380+ is the ultimate electric bike to take on any task, errand, or adventure with speed and sophistication. Equal parts sporty urban bike and comfortable touring bike, this Gazelle is designed to go the distance while the exquisitely formed frame, elegant lines, and integrated battery offer a sleek look and capable handling. With a premium feature set, including front suspension, ergonomic grips, and an upright posture, the Gazelle Ultimate C380+ brings comfort, sophisticated design, and performance to every ride. 

The core feature of the new Ultimate C380+ is the revolutionary Enviolo 380 internal trekking hub, creating a relaxed riding experience with effortless, stepless shifting. This unique hub technology, with a 380% ratio range, allows riders to shift silently, under load, and even when standing still. This technology, in combination with a Gates carbon belt drive, delivers a whisper-quiet ride while being delightfully low maintenance. Bosch’s formidable Performance Line Speed motor offers empowering pedal assistance up to 28 mph with 85 Nm of torque.

As with all Gazelle electric bikes, riders will find integrated front and rear lighting, a rear rack with bungee straps, a cafe lock, fenders, protective belt guard, and of course, the Gazelle bell.  Available in a stunning Industry Grey Matte finish, the new Ultimate C380+ can be had in either a mid-step in three sizes (46, 53, and 57 cm) or high-step in two sizes (53 and 57cm). A dual battery upgrade is available on the high-step frame; an on-tube Bosch PowerPack 500 battery doubles the range for the bike. The Gazelle Ultimate C380+ will begin shipping to Gazelle’s North American network of retailers immediately with an MSRP of $4,749 USD.
