Who is Team One Mile?
https://www.theonemileproject.com/about-us
Team One Mile is a group of 8 riders and 16 support crew that are participating in the 2021 Race Across America. Team One Mile’s mission is to support and raise awareness for veterans.
The primary focus is on those suffering in silence, people suffering from PTSD, addiction, abuse or the invisible thoughts of suicide. Our unique composition of athletes and motivational professionals allows One Mile Leadership Project to offer a global platform of support, where people in leadership positions can exchange thoughts and ideas, while offering proactive, positive support.
What is Race Across America (RAAM)?
http://www.raceacrossamerica.org/about.html
Race Across America is a 3,000-mile non-stop race from coast to coast, challenging even the best athletes in the world, and a pinnacle of athletic achievement. Racers, crew, staff and fans travel from all over the world to experience this inspiring event displaying endurance, will power, camaraderie and teamwork. The action starts on June 15th 2021 for solo starts and on June 19th for team starts.
Sena is proud to support Team One Mile in the upcoming Race Across America. The team will #RideConnected using Sena’s R1 EVO smart helmets to communicate with one another while racing across the United States. Race Across America is a relay-style race with Team One Mile using strategic shifts to get across the country. Communication will be key in shift changes and potentially save massive amounts of time.
This will be the first time smart helmets have been utilized in Race Across America. Sena R1 EVO: https://www.sena.com/product/r1-evo
