CARLSBAD, JULY 13, 2021 | – No, we’re not selling the big hole in the ground. We’re talking about the other Grand Canyon—Canyon’s best-selling mountain bike in Europe. On Thursday, July 15, this Grand Canyon of the hardtail variety will be available to American riders for the first time—delivering high performance without the high price tag.

The 7 and 7 WMN models will be the first bikes in the Grand Canyon family available in the USA and, unlike most models at this ($1,299) price point, both come equipped with Boost 148 rear through-axles and dropper seatposts. The women’s edition of the Grand Canyon 7 is also equipped with a modified cockpit and special saddle, as well as independent, women’s-specific frame geometry that includes a slightly steeper head angle and shorter reach.

All 2021 Grand Canyon 7 models boast a slew of components uncommon at this price, including a 1×12 SRAM SX Eagle wide-range drivetrain, 120mm-travel RockShox Judy Silver fork (with Boost 110 spacing), Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, and the aforementioned dropper seatpost.

Women’s-specific models are available in four sizes 2XS, XS, S and M, while unisex versions can be had in five sizes: XS, S, M, L and XL. To give riders of all heights the same great ride quality, each Grand Canyon is outfitted with a wheel size matched to its frame size. 27.5” wheels are featured on 2XS-S Grand Canyon 7 WMN models and unisex sizes XS and S. All larger frames (M-XL) roll on 29” wheels.

Grand Canyon 7 models will be available exclusively on canyon.com beginning July 15th.
