BioLite LLC, an innovator in energy solutions, is redefining on-demand energy in 2014 with the launch of the KettleCharge. Small but mighty, this stovetop water-based generator produces 10 watts – enough energy to charge tablets, smartphones, headlamps and water purifiers, making it a great outdoor companion and perfect emergency partner.
To use, simply fill the silver body with water and place on top of any heat source, such as stovetops, camping stoves, and, of course, the BioLite CampStove. Within minutes, this on-demand generator uses thermoelectrics to transform the heat into usable electricity that can be accessed from the USB port at the base of the orange Power Handle.

One of the KettleCharge’s biggest innovations comes with the smart dashboard. Located on the yellow Power Handle, the LED dashboard relays important information to the user for optimal use. With a glance, users can determine if their generator is ready to charge devices, or if they are in the ideal temperature range. To protect the electronics and prevent overheating, the dashboard beeps to alert when temperatures get too high.
Light and portable, the KettleCharge can easily be taken along on camping trips or other outdoor adventures. The Power Handle folds down when not in use for a streamlined design.
“Energy is all around us, and we just need the right tools to use it,” said Jonathan Cedar, BioLite Co-founder and CEO. “The KettleCharge is an easy way for people to harness energy on-demand using only heat and water. Whether it’s for an emergency kit or a hiking pack, we’re pleased to offer a powerful 10 watt solution to keep gear charged.”
