LYON, FRANCE – With excitement building for the famous Paris-Nice starting this Sunday, Bollé’s preparations for the new cycling season are in full swing.
For the first time ever, Bollé is sponsoring a team with both helmets and sunglasses, giving tremendous visibility to the brand. B&B Hotels p/b KTM professional team (BBK) will be wearing the Furo Mips helmet and Chronoshield/Lightshifter/Shifter sunglasses which will be in full view this season particularly during the next Tour de France.
In addition to the entire BBK team, Bollé will also be sponsoring some of the world’s best cyclists with its sunglasses.
Bollé is thrilled to introduce Jakob Fuglsang as a new member of their team of athletes and as the leader of the Astana – Premier Tech team, the Dane is one of the most talented of his generation with 26 pro victories already, including Il Lombardia in 2020.
Two of his teammates, the Italian Samuele Battistella, junior world champion in 2018 and Benjamin Perry from Canada will wear Bollé’s performance sunglasses as well.
Niccolò Bonifazio, one of the team leaders of Total Direct Energy is the other main recruit for Bollé. The Italian already has 18 pro victories including a stage at last year’s Paris-Nice. He will be joined by one of his Spanish teammates, Victor de la Parte, who has had 4 pro wins in his career.
Finally, Great Britain’s Jake Stewart from the Groupama FDJ team, one of the most promising riders in the World Tour, who in 2021 already won the Youth Classification at Etoile de Bessèges – Tour du Gard and was second at the World Tour race Omloop Het Nieuwsblad ME, will complete an impressive team of athletes.
Along with these investments and as part of Bollé’s consumer first strategy, the company is delighted to announce a new three-year partnership with the Haute Route that organizes a set of premium races on the most famous roads in Europe, including the Alps, the Pyrenees, the Dolomites and the Ventoux. The Haute Route gathers thousands of cycling enthusiasts from all over the world and will help grow Bollé’s awareness and recognition among the community, either through field events or online races (Watopia on Zwift).
“Bollé has a long and incredible success story with the highest levels of cycling and this year reaches a new milestone for us since not only will our cycling products be worn by B&B HOTELS p/b KTM but also by some of the world’s most talented pro riders,” said Louis CISTI, Vice President of Global Marketing at Bollé Brands. “I’m thrilled that such successful athletes such as Jakob Fuglsang are joining Bollé to make our brand’s flag fly even higher. In addition, as a consumer brand, we cannot limit ourselves to sponsoring only top athletes and need to keep the connection with cycling enthusiasts as well and this is why I am delighted with our three-year partnership with the Haute Route to keep building our cycling community”.
In addition to its regular collection, riders requiring prescription sunglasses will benefit from Bollé’s Rx lens technology in their chosen performance styles, offering precision optics and comfort giving a wider field of view.
