Bridgedale North America is to support the 41st annual charity Ski For Light International Week, which will take place from 24-30 January 2016 at the Shanty Creek Resorts in Bellaire, Michigan.
The week-long cross country skiing event teaches visually and mobility impaired people to ski and to learn the basics, improve their skill and technique, meet new people and have a great time. The team at Bridgedale North America will donate MerinoFusion™ XC Classic ski socks to the event, giving them the chance to experience unmatched insulation and performance.
Colin Sanders, Brand President North America at Bridgedale, commented: “Ski for Light gives people of all abilities the chance to experience cross country skiing, despite any visual or mobility impairment. As an all-volunteer organization, Ski for Light relies on companies like Bridgedale to support them in various event activities, such as its silent auction and raffle, to raise vital funds.
Holly Schmaling, Chair Corporate Sponsorship Committee, Guide and Ski of Light Board Member, commented: “Bridgedale’s sponsorship goes towards our costs and enables us to conduct a high quality event, while keeping organizational costs affordable. Our product donations are a highlight for our attendees and help us to achieve our goal of providing a cross country ski experience of a lifetime to those with disabilities.”
Bridgedale is an official supplier to Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) and National Ski Patrol (NSP), with a wide range of ski and compression socks used by experts throughout the ski industry. This exciting sponsorship opportunity will further position Bridgedale products and technologies as a top choice for skiers.
