Brooks-Range Expands Collection of DownTek Technology Products

Brooks Range Mountaineering Equipment, known for its high-quality mountaineering gear and accessories, is pleased to introduce the Cloak Sleeping Bag series featuring the new DownTek water-resistant down technology. In addition to the Cloak Sleeping bags, Brooks-Range is introducing a new Stubai lightweight tent, an updated Elephant Foot Sleeping bag and a redesigned Rock Shirt. CLOAK SLEEPING BAG
The Cloak Sleeping Bag is designed as a minimalist, lightweight sleeping system that can be partnered with any sleeping pad. Much like a down quilt for use in the backcountry, the Cloak uses only the top half of the sleeping bag, eliminating the need for zippers. The bottom portion has a short pocket to keep it attached to a sleeping pad. The Cloak offers a superior weight-to-warmth ratio with the use of 850 fill down that has been treated with DownTek water-resistant technology. The shell is constructed with lightweight but durable 15d Nylon DWR.

STUBAI TENT
The Stubai is a pentagon-shaped lightweight single pole shelter that can be used year around. The adjustable aluminum pole in the center of the tent makes for a quick and easy set up. To save even more weight, the user can use his/her trekking pole instead of the provided tent pole. The Stubai is a single wall tent and weighs only 3 lbs, 3 oz with the pole (2 lbs 6 oz without the pole) and has 85 sq. ft of interior space. The tent is made with 1.20d Nylon fabric with a PU/Sil treatment, has ceiling vents, and taped seams for use in all weather conditions. MSRP: $299.00

UPDATED: ELEPHANT FOOT SLEEPING BAG
The original Brooks-Range sleeping bag, the Elephant Foot, has been redesigned to add more foot room and an improved collar system. The Elephant foot still offers its high weight-to-warmth ratio with the use of 850 fill goose down, but will now be made more performance-oriented with the use of DownTek water-resistant down technology. When partnered with the new Brooks-Range Mojave Jacket, this is a perfect lightweight bivy system for the true backpacker and mountaineer in temps down to 25 degrees. UPDATED: ROCK SHIRT
Brooks-Range popular Rock Shirt has been updated for 2013. This cozy mid-layer now features a more athletic fit, snap closures instead of a ¼ zip, and thumb holes. The updated Rock Shirt is made with a durable but super soft 13 oz Cotton/Poly blend for maximum warmth and comfort. MSRP: $54.95
