Brooks-Range Mountaineering Equipment, a manufacturer of high-quality backcountry and mountaineering equipment, is expanding its current relationship with the American Hiking Society and is supporting the organization’s annual National Trails Day, taking place around the country on June 4, 2011. Brooks-Range has provided 250 Field Organizers and Field Books that will be included in the Organizer Kits that are made available to people and organizations that are hosting National Trails Day events in their community.
Since 1993, National Trails Day has inspired thousands of individuals and community groups to take part in activities that promote healthy living and mental well being, protect green space, educate youth and adults on the importance of trails, and instill excitement for the outdoors. This year, 2,000 events will take place around the country including trail maintenance, hiking, paddling, biking, horseback riding, bird watching, running, trail celebrations and more.
