Top U.S. mountaineering veteran, Carlos Buhler, is announced as the newest member of the Brooks-Range Ambassadors. Carlos began his extraordinary career in American mountaineering at age fifteen on a National Outdoor Leadership School course in Wyoming. He was twenty-eight when he was invited to join the American expedition attempting the East “Kangshung” face of Everest, its last, unclimbed flank. His decision to join this effort instead of attending graduate school in Washington, D.C. launched one of the most exceptional pursuits in American mountaineering.
