SANTA ROSA, Calif. – Buff, Inc., known for stylish, versatile and innovative multifunctional headwear, is pleased to announce its sponsorship of three-time reigning 24-Hour Solo Mountain Biking World Champion and endurance athlete Rebecca Rusch for the 2010 racing season.

Drawing from a background in adventure racing, Rusch has a deep well of skills including paddling, rock climbing, biking, navigating, skiing, and more. Since turning to pro mountain biking in 2001, she has become a three-time 24-Hour World Champion. Rusch now focuses most of her efforts on endurance solo mountain bike racing; and in addition to her string of Worlds wins, she also won the Solo Mountain Biking Nationals in 2006. And most recently in 2009, Rusch shared the podium with Lance Armstrong at the Leadville 100.

“Rebecca is an accomplished and ambitious outdoorswoman, which makes her a perfect fit with the Buff® brand,” said Shirley Choi Brunetti, general manager and vice president, United States. “We are thrilled to have Rebecca as a champion for Buff®.”

Rebecca is enthusiastic about her new partnership with Buff, Inc. “A Buff® is small, light and so functional,” said Rusch. “A Buff® is an essential item that I take with me on almost any ride, hike or ski. I have also started using them on my motorcycle! A Buff® is the perfect little item to take the chill off your head, keep the wind off your face or the hair out of your eyes. There are also a million other uses when traveling such as a washcloth, a hankie, or an eye cover for sleeping! I’ve used them for all of these things and more,” she added.

Rusch currently is gearing up for the 2010 racing season. She will be departing later this month for her first two races of the year in Argentina, which include the Trans Andes Challenge mountain bike race in Patagonia and the Tour de la Patagonia in February.

Rusch also will be hosting a five-stop mountain town movie tour of Race Across the Sky, the new documentary about one of the most intense mountain bike races of all time, the Leadville Trail 100, which Rusch won in 2009. The film tour will begin in Sun Valley, Idaho on Feb. 25 and run through the end of March.

Buff® continues to produce the highest quality multifunctional headwear on the market. For Fall 2010, the company will introduce many new styles and models, as well as other innovations to its existing product lines.
