SEATTLE, WA – Buzz Off Insect Shield announces the launch of their enhanced insect-repellent apparel technology under the new Insect Shield® brand. Recently, the firm communicated that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) granted them a sought-after amendment to their insect-repellent clothing registration. Insect Shield apparel is now EPA registered to provide effective insect protection through seventy washings, almost three times the initial claim of twenty five washings achieved in July 2003. All apparel on the market for spring 2008 will be marketed under the newly launched Insect Shield® brand and offer the increased repellency durability of seventy washings.
Buzz Off Insect Shield is currently working with international development and relief organizations to promote the insect repellent technology as a tool for preventing insect-borne diseases. The Insect Shield brand name and improved technology support these efforts as well.
“The enhanced Insect Shield technology has the potential to greatly impact worldwide health by offering durable and effective solutions to people whose lives are impacted by insect-borne diseases,†says Jason Griffin, Buzz Off Insect Shield Executive Vice President. “Our new brand name succinctly explains the protective aspect of our technology and the improved technology provides greater value for our partners and consumers.â€
