(March 25, 2021) — CADEX, the maker of high-performance cycling products, announced that triathlete and Olympian Kristian Blummenfelt has signed with the brand for 2021-2022. The 27-year old Norwegian has broken the 70.3 world record twice and currently holds the world record in that distance with a time of 3:25:21, set at the 2019 Ironman 70.3 Middle East Championships.

Blummenfelt’s rise in triathlon started with a bronze medal at the 2015 European Championships. Since then, he has won multiple ITU World Triathlon Series and World Cup races, most notably scoring a gold medal at the 2019 WTS Grand Final in Lausanne, Switzerland. Additionally, Blummenfelt finished fourth at the 2019 Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Nice, France, and has won three Ironman 70.3 Middle East Championships. He plans to put his speed to the test over twice that distance with the Pho3nix Sub7 Project in 2022, where he will attempt to go under seven hours and break the current iron-distance world record.

“I don’t train as hard as I do and then give up time with inferior equipment,” said Blummenfelt. “With CADEX, no matter the distance or condition, I know I’ll have the best products to compete with at the highest level.”

Along with Blummenfelt, CADEX also formed new partnerships with triathletes Beth Potter, Taylor Spivey, Tamara Gorman, Tyler Mislawchuk and Yu Hsiao.

“CADEX’s pursuit of pinnacle product starts with our commitment to test and develop breakthrough innovations with world-class athletes,” said An Le, CADEX Global Marketing Director. “Whatever brand of bikes these triathletes are competing on in 2021, we’re excited to work with them to deliver that winning edge.”

Athletes will train and compete using the full range of CADEX products, including WheelSystems, tubeless tires, and Boost saddles. For more information on CADEX and its athletes, visit www.cadex-cycling.com.
