Survey runs March 22–April 7 and will inform broad-based study of workplace experiences in the active-outdoor industries.
Camber Outdoors is conducting a comprehensive survey of women and men who work in the active-outdoor industries to inform a new study of workplace experiences. The organization will utilize survey findings to continue to develop and create programs and initiatives that support gender equity, diversity, and inclusion in the active-outdoor industries.
“In 2012, Camber Outdoors launched an initial workplace study, designed to gage perceptions of the state of gender diversity in the active-outdoor industries. The results of that study have helped us create tools and measure efforts around gender diversification,” said Deanne Buck, executive director of Camber Outdoors. “We look forward to seeing the results of the 2017 survey and to analyze improvements and opportunities.”
Results from the 2012 Workplace Survey, which have helped inform Camber Outdoors’ programming over the past five years, will serve as a benchmark for this work. The 2017 survey is being conducted by Breakaway Research.
Several Camber Outdoors’ partners are supporting this initiative by helping to broaden the survey’s reach. Survey participants will be entered to win a trip down the Lower Salmon River provided by OARS (valued at $2,446), and Interbike, Malakye, OIA, and Outdoor Retailer have agreed to share the survey with their audiences.
