Carve Designs, makers of women’s technical water sport and surf inspired apparel, announced today the addition of Megan Kress to their United States sales rep team. Megan Kress and her expert knowledge of retail in the Great Lakes region will add even more consumer exposure to Carve Design’s expanded Fall 2008 apparel line.
With five sales agencies already onboard, Carve Designs currently sells to over 200 specialty, catalog and internet dealers across the US, Canada and the UK. Carve Designs hired Megan Kress to represent the brand in the Great Lakes region. Kress resides in Duluth, Minnesota next to Lake Superior where she enjoys kayaking, paddling outriggers and racing dragon boats. Megan Kress’ lines include Carve Designs, Kokatat, Snapdragon Sprayskirts, Kialoa Paddles, Pacific Outdoor Equipment, Laken Waterbottles, Icebox Hats and Kiss My Face.
“The buzz surrounding Carve made it an easy decision to get on board,†said Kress. “I’m excited to be involved with a company that is made up of authentic outdoor women who clearly love their work. I’m confident my love of water and being outside will mesh well with the Carve culture, and I’m excited to introduce the brand to the Midwest where we don’t have oceans, but do have some darn big lakes.â€
Highly recognized for their Spring/Summer technical water sport and surf inspired apparel for women, this year Carve Designs expanded their Fall 2008 assortment to become a more familiar year-round brand. “This is our third and most comprehensive Fall line we’ve created,†said Thayer Sylvester, Co-Founder of Carve Designs. “The size of the collection almost rivals that of the spring line and has made a great impression with new and existing dealers.†Special focus for Fall was “winterizing†their best sellers from spring and expanding key cooler weather collections including their High Point fleece-backed stretch jersey, their D Street organic velour, and Santa Cruz washable wool. Carve continued their successful merchandising strategy allowing certain color stories to carry from Spring 08 into Fall 08 and is providing a start ship of July 15 to enable dealers to offer a true “Fall†before the outerwear onslaught of Winter.
