Casting for Recovery teams up with Cabela’s® to help support breast cancer survivors

Manchester, VT—January 14, 2014 Casting for Recovery, a non-profit organization offering support and educational retreats for women with breast cancer received a portion of October sales from Cabela’s Incorporated. During the month of October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Cabela’s committed a portion of sales on specially marked products to raise awareness and treatment of breast cancer. Cabela’s donated $4,083 of the funds raised to Casting for Recovery.


“Cabela’s and Casting for Recovery share a strong passion for the outdoors and helping others enjoy outdoor activities,” said Scott Williams, Cabela’s chief marketing officer. “We are proud to support CfR and its efforts toward breast cancer awareness and treatment.”


“We are ecstatic with the donation from Cabela’s,” says Casting for Recovery executive director Whitney Milhoan. “We count on donations from companies like Cabela’s to help run our retreats and assist in spreading awareness of this disease. This donation will sponsor four breast cancer survivors to attend our one-of-a-kind retreats for mental and physical healing.”
