Celtic Partners with the North American Invasive Species Management Association

MILWAUKEE (March 16, 2021) – Celtic is proud to announce a recent partnership with the North American Invasive Species Management Association (NAISMA). Celtic is charged with promoting the organization’s PlayCleanGo® campaign which encourages people to have fun outdoors while taking simple measures to stop the spread of invasive species.

“Most people don’t realize that invasive species are commonly spread through human activity,” said Kurt Lingel, executive vice president at Celtic, Inc. “Our goal is to slow the spread, and whenever possible, stop the spread of invasive species on land and water through our educational efforts.”

To help engage and educate outdoor recreationists, Celtic is rolling out a multi-tiered, multi-year campaign consisting of social media, public relations, promotions and partnerships. All of the activities are centered around a brand ambassador that many call Big Foot, but is affectionally known as Steward by the PlayCleanGo community. Steward is a fun and playful outdoor ambassador who champions the mission of PlayCleanGo and educates people about how to prevent the spread of invasive species.

In addition to implementing a year-round campaign, major promotional efforts are also being planned to support PlayCleanGo Awareness Week, June 5-12, 2021.

“Creating long-term sustainable solutions to environmental challenges and changing behavior requires a comprehensive and creative approach, which Celtic readily provides,” said Belle Bergner, executive director of NAISMA.
