ROCKFORD, Mich. (November 30, 2015) – In 2012, Chaco introduced its successful MyChacos custom footwear program, empowering consumers to create their own unique designs of the iconic Z sandal. Today, the market leader in performance sandals is expanding its personalization program to include customizable Chaco Flips, assembled in the United States.
Beginning on November 30, consumers can visit MyChacos.com to design their next Flips. Millions of combinations are possible by personalizing eight separate elements of the Flip, including the toe post, footbed, outsole and each side of the webbing strap. There are over 55 webbing options to choose from including two Grateful Dead licensed designs.
“Chaco owners are a creative bunch and have certainly embraced the opportunity to express their own style through the MyChacos program,” states Colin Butts, director of marketing for Chaco. “Adding Flips to our custom program is something many consumers were asking for, and we’re excited that we’ve been able to add capacity to meet their request.”
The skilled team at Chaco’s Rockford, Michigan facility—also home the brand’s ReChaco footwear repair program—builds and ships the custom sandals within days.
Born on the river in 1989, Chaco builds premium footwear for the outdoor-minded. As a result of the brand’s proprietary LUVSEAT™ footbed, the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) has awarded the Seal of Acceptance to all Chaco footwear styles. The APMA Seal is intended to raise awareness by identifying products of exceptional quality that are manufactured with comfort, health, and safety in mind. Simply put, Chaco is fit for adventure.
