PAONIA, CO (August 28, 2007) – Chaco is pleased to announce that it has named Wes Allen as the company’s new Sales Manager. Allen joins Chaco following 9 years with REI and a total of 14 years of outdoor retail experience.
Bringing years of experience in management, merchandising, and a general outdoor retail perspective, Allen represents a major addition to the Chaco Sales Team. Allen is the only REI employee in history to open two new locations and has served as Store Manager of three REI locations; Santa Ana, CA, Fairfax, VA, and most recently Mountain View, CA.
“Wes is made with bits of real Panther, so you know he’s good,†commented Jeff Busic, Director of Sales, adding, “His vast experience in retail management and his tenure at an institution such as REI give Wes a strong understanding of the outdoor customer, the current retail climate, and what it takes to engage and motivate retail sales staff.â€
