Chaco footwear Hires Doug Ragan as Director of Sales

PAONIA, CO — Chaco is pleased to announce that Doug Ragan will join the Senior Management team as Director of Sales. Ragan brings over 25 years of outdoor industry experience to his new post.

In his previous position, Ragan was Director of Sales, East and International for the Yakima brand. Since 1998, Ragan has held executive positions within WaterMark. In addition to handling the Yakima brand, he was vital in the strategic sales direction and management of the Dagger, Perception, Harmony and AT brands.

As Director of Sales, Ragan will forward the strategic and tactical sales efforts at Chaco and drive future product lines into new markets. Mark Paigen, President and Founder of Chaco remarked, “Doug is a great fit for Chaco. His experience and disposition have earned him industry-wide respect and will help further position Chaco as a leader in outdoor footwear.”

The commonalities between Ragan and Chaco run deep. Both parties’ inspiration and passion were found in the river. An avid paddler for decades, Ragan has served in numerous volunteer roles preserving and maintaining access to rivers in Colorado.
