Chaco Names Scott Bowen as New Product Line Manager

Chaco welcomes Scott Bowen as the company’s new Product Line Manager. Bowen brings more than ten years of experience in outdoor performance footwear to the Panonia, Colorado-based team through his work with both the Columbia Sportswear Company and Nike.

Originally from South Africa, Bowen has been based in Portland, Oregon since 1999 working for Columbia in a number of footwear product development and merchandising management roles. In his most recent position as product line manager, Bowen was responsible for the product development strategy, creative direction and overall operational aspects for a number of top Columbia footwear brands within the company’s hiking, safety and sandal categories, including Sorel and the global SMU line. Prior to working for Columbia, Bowen was an international account representative for Nike in Beaverton, Oregon.

Bowen’s extensive experience honing the technical features and benefits and authentic styling consumers demand from outdoor performance footwear make him a strategic asset to the Chaco brand and its future product development mission – to deliver the best fit in outdoor footwear. His primary responsibilities will include managing the creative, merchandising and development of all new Chaco product lines, and working directly with a cross-functional team across marketing, sales and operations to help further the company’s excellence in performance footwear fit systems. In addition, Bowen will also investigate new market opportunities for the company.
