LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. – Champion System has signed as a partner with Randonnée Cycliste Adirondacks for the September 27-29 cycling festival in Lake George. As a global leader in custom technical apparel, the company will be the official title sponsor for the Champion System Hill Climb Challenge on Saturday, Sept. 28 in Lake George. Champion System will create custom jerseys that will be awarded to top finishers in the timed races, and provide commemorative jerseys for all participants of the Randonnée Cycliste Adirondacks to purchase.
The Champion System Hill Climb Challenge is a competitive, timed, closed-course individual time trial that starts at the base of Prospect Mountain in Lake George. The climb is 5.5 miles in length and covers 1,457 vertical feet of elevation gain. There will be 14 timed categories for men and women, with specific age groups starting at 15 years and older. The top rider in each category will receive one custom Randonnée Cycliste Adirondacks jersey from Champion System, which will be presented at the awards ceremony at the conclusion of the event.
“We are thrilled to be a part of this event, an event which truly showcases a beautiful region of the U.S.,” said Charlie Issendorf, vice-president, Champion System. “We created a unique and original jersey design that truly showcases our digital sublimation capabilities where virtually any design is possible.” Champion System was founded in 2005 and creates distinctive and stylish garments that are worn by Olympians, National and World Champions, and recreational athletes of all levels.
The custom jerseys for Randonnée Cycliste Adirondacks are manufactured with an exclusive Champion System Tech fabric that provides wicking properties and 100% permanent UV protection. The jerseys feature a colorful graphic to reflect the fall season when the ride will be held, and the event tag line on the back “Why Fondo when you can Randonnée”. All jerseys provide a tapered collar and breathable side panels. Champion System debuted its cutting-edge technology at this year’s Tour de France. Team Lampre-Merida wore the Champion System Cooling Jacket and the Carbon Speed Suit for the Stage 4 Team Time Trial.
