Chaos Asks, Who Will You “REACH THE PEAK” With This Year?
Outdoor Outreach Annual Fundraiser Saturday, November 9th at Black Mountain Open Space

San Diego, Calif. October 30th 2013. Local non-profit organization Outdoor Outreach will launch their 3rd annual fundraising event, Reach The Peak, at Hilltop Recreation Center and Black Mountain Open Space Park in San Diego, CA. Chaos headwear is an annual sponsor for both headwear and for athlete/mentor graduate Jesse Delgado.

Chaos is Reaching The Peak with Jesse Delgado. Jesse went on his first outdoor adventure with Outdoor Outreach (OO) in 2005. Little did he know that this chance to experience snowboarding for the first time would change the course of his life and become a passion for him. Jesse is now a senior instructor on Outdoor Outreach’s Leadership Team, mentoring at-risk and under-served youth on their own “first,” outdoor experiences while pursuing his college education.

Reach The Peak has become San Diego’s premier Trail Challenge and Mountain Festival, celebrating not only the hard work and accomplishments of the youth that Outdoor Outreach serves, but also the community members that share a passion for empowering youth through outdoor experiences. Reach The Peak will provide a unique opportunity for the public to participate and fundraise side by side with Outdoor Outreach’s Youth Leadership Kids, through trail running, mountain biking, rock climbing, yoga and more. “Reach The Peak is a celebration of the outdoors that allows everyone to get involved in a fun way to change a kids life,” Outdoor Outreach Executive Director Chris Rutgers says, “some non-profits ask you to put on a coat and tie and attend a stuffy gala, Outdoor Outreach asks you to lace up your trail running shoes, or grab your mountain bike to help show your support for our organization.”
