The CTR Cooling Jade Performance Series is engineered for staying cool, dry, and comfortable. The cooling Jade recycled crushed fragments are spun with poly or nylon performance fibers to create fabric with a natural cooling effect. The ultra-wicking construction combined with cooling Jade infused yarn decreases your skin surface temperature up to 10˚ F – keeping you comfortable, dry, and cool. This fabric is found throughout the Surf SUP, Nomad, Chill Out and Chase Collections.

SURF SUP 2018 will see more SUP; Chaos has expanded the line to 4 styles for men and women. This is a water sport hybrid hat offering UPF 50+ with the wicking combination of HelishadeTM fabric and moisture wicking sweatband, floating brims, hook and loop back strap, with side venting eyelets and neoprene chin strap to prevent chafing. This year we added new shapes in the panels for a low profile, contemporary look with all the added features. This collection is for exploring SoCal, coasts, rivers, and mountain lakes nationwide. Hint: Wet the entire hat and let the cooling jade fabric take charge and keep your head cooler longer.

CHASE ACTIVE: Neck-Gaitors, Headbands, and Arm Sleeves

The Active collection is also made with the thermal cooling properties of Jade and is designed to help cool your skin and add to your performance in hot temperatures. The fabric is lightweight and breathable, with both UPF 50+ and wicking performance from a nylon spandex blend infused with the Jade technology. The neck gaiter is a versatile and multi-functional garment for headwear or neck protection and offers full sun protection when accompanied by any hat. The headband wicks sweat and provides cool relief while the arm bands protect and cool your most vulnerable body part from sun exposure.

SUMMIT COLLECTION

The Chaos Summit Collection is lightweight and packable. SPF HelishadeTM Bucket hats feature floats and perforated ventilation. Fabricated for full sun protection and comfort, each hat in this collection provides a minimum UPF rating of 40+. SUMMIT NO FLY ZONE

Burlington® fabric with PermethrinTM is a new insecticide fabric that is effective against mosquitos, ticks, ants, chiggers, flies and midges. Its organic based technology helps prevent the spread of insect born diseases by repelling insects through apparel, uniforms and gear. This PermethrinTM treated fabric requires no further processing; its insect repellant is similar to a naturally occurring chemical called pytherum, which is formed in a flower in the daisy family. Registered with the EPA and FDA, the Burlington® Lab’s No Fly Zone (NFZ) insect repellant technology works as a contact repellent. It is applied to four of the top selling hats in the Outdoor Summit Collection.

CHILL OUTDOORS and TRUCKERS

This category targets active millennials that like camping and hiking, but prefer ripstop booniesnad truckers to Trad looking buckets. To meet CTR standards, we use our cool acting sweatband and ripstop fabric, giving this collection the expected performance properties. We have six styles in the Chill Outdoors in cotton ripstop with chillin’ sweatbands, low key profiles, and contemporary colors – a great combination for the now generation.

In this Collection are modern ‘TRUCKERS’. The 6-panel ‘Dad Hat’ will stay strong, but the vintage 5-panel foam style will gain significant market share. There will be a lot of muted tones and colors found in nature, along with traditional and digital camo. You’ll see textured fabrics and patches that reflect the outdoor lifestyle. Offered in full mesh styles and camper shapes.
