Chaos Headwear Announces New Sales Division for Sport Boutique
Steamboat Springs, Colo. Montreal QUE – June 16th, 2016 –Chaos Headwear , Chaos Headwear, makers of high quality headwear in North America and worldwide, announces it is expanding into the luxury and specialty boutique market for active fashion. The new LUX collection is a hybrid of sport and fashion in high-end blends of cashmere, mohair, merino and silk for men and women. To manage this new category, the US sales division has added two specialty experts; Catherine Sullivan of Remembrance Ent. for the western states and Andrew Zager, for east coast sales. Jillian Tock, with the Chaos’ parent company in Montreal now heads up the Canadian distribution for this new boutique specialty division.

With the expanded LUX collection Chaos Headwear is responding to current demand and trends in fashion and active wear. Recent reports from the Outdoor Industry Association’s (OIA) Consumer Vue Report 2015 delineate new categories of “active to complacent” outdoor participants and consumers, which offer opportunities for Chaos. The ‘athleisurist’ “Urban Athlete” groups garner top sales at 20% each. The two less active divisions of ‘Side liner’ and ‘Complacent’ had a combined sales impact of 26%. The ‘Athleisurist, Sideliner and Complacent’ groups together, make up 46% of new sales potential for the LUX collection. These outdoor consumers enjoy an active outdoor lifestyle, as well as travel, shopping, looking good, dining out, and exploring the local scene. To Chaos, these groups represent the ideal market for the LUX collection.
With the new East and West sales reps and the in-house support of Jilian Tock, Chaos has established the ideal team to develop and communicate the features of this new line to cover these market opportunities. “This ‘athleisure’ market combined with urban and resort boutiques is a space we have been positioning our LUX collection for over the last two years. Now that the line is matured and demand is up, we can add this dedicated representation to reach new trade shows, new regions and new store accounts,” explains US Director of Sales, Gary Supple.
