Charlie Snyder Joins VNU Sports Group

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIF. – VNU Sports Group, a division of VNU Expositions, is pleased to announce that Charlie Snyder has joined the Outdoor Group as an Account Executive. In this role, Snyder will manage the Southwest, Midwest, Rocky Mountain, Alaskan and Hawaiian territories for the FlyFishing Retailer and Outdoor Retailer Winter and Summer Market tradeshows.

“What initially led me to the doorstep of the Outdoor and FlyFishing Retailer Markets was my personal passion for outdoor activities, the environment and the gear and clothing necessary to fully enjoy them together,” said Snyder. “I’ve long admired VNU Sports Group’s efforts to support their markets and the industries they serve, and I feel privileged to be a member of their team.”

“Charlie’s strong sales and tradeshow experience will be very valuable as we build on the positive results of the Outdoor Group’s hard work and success,” said Peter Devin, group show director for VNU Expositions.

Prior to joining VNU Sports Group, Snyder served as the gift and home markets manager for the California Market Center from 2003 to 2005. He also gained valuable tradeshow experience as show manager for the California Gift Show from 2001 to 2002.

Snyder replaces Marisa Nicholson, who was recently promoted to national sales manager for the VNU Cycling and Fitness Group. In her new position, Nicholson will build new relationships and assist in the creation of exciting programs and events at the Interbike and Health + Fitness Tradeshows.
