CLIF Bar CrossVegas, a UCI World Cup Cyclo-Cross Race Announces Ticket Sales Start on July 6, 2015

LONGMONT, COLO. (July 6, 2015) – Watts Marketing, organizer of CLIF Bar CrossVegas, announced today that tickets sales for its Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) World Cup cyclo-cross race go on sale July 6, 2015 at http://bit.ly/1KsXQSs. Tickets for the event that is Wednesday, September 16 are $15 for adults; children under the age of 12 are free. Clark County residents can redeem a $3 discount using the code CrossVegas15.

CrossVegas athletes will compete in one of five races: UCI Elite Men, UCI Elite Women, “Wheelers & Dealers”, USA Cycling Amateur Men and USA Cycling Amateur Women. Cyclo-cross’ qualified elite competitors will race to kick off this year’s UCI World Cup series. Gates will open at 3 p.m, with the USA Cycling amateur race at 4 p.m., the Wheelers & Dealers race at 6:30 p.m., the Elite Women race at 8:15 p.m. and Elite Men race at 9:30 p.m. The awards ceremony will follow the finish of the Elite men’s race.

CrossVegas is the first of seven World Cup races of the 2015-2016 season that concludes in late January. After CrossVegas, cyclo-cross rankings are updated to determine who will advance to the next World Cup race as competition shifts to Europe with races in the Netherlands, Belgium and France throughout the fall and winter.

CrossVegas is the largest annual cyclo-cross race in the U.S. and takes place following the first day of the Interbike International Bike Expo, held in Las Vegas each September. Launched in 2007, it attracts competitors from more than 15 nations with national teams of eight men and eight women competing in the elite categories. The race features a variety of terrains that includes pavement, grass, steep hills and barriers, requiring cyclists to dismount to navigate obstacles then remount their bicycles to finish the race. The Universal Sports Network will broadcast CLIF Bar CrossVegas, from 8 to 11 p.m. PDT.

CrossVegas registration opens to all racers competing in the USA Cycling Men and Women’s amateur cycling races as well as the Wheelers & Dealers on Aug. 4, 2015. Registration is $55 and competitors can register at www.crossvegas.com.
