CLIF Bar CrossVegas, a UCI World Cup Cyclocross Event, Selects Active Lifestyle Agency Forté PR as its Public Relations Agency of Record

LAS VEGAS (May 13, 2015)CLIF Bar CrossVegas has selected Las Vegas-based Forté PR as its public relations agency of record. Forté will provide strategic planning, traditional media strategy and execution along with developing key community relationships on behalf of CrossVegas that is scheduled for the evening of Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015 at the Desert Breeze Soccer Complex.

Launched in 2007, CrossVegas has become the largest cyclocross event in the U.S. This year, CrossVegas has been selected as a Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) World Cup Cyclocross event, the first ever in the U.S. Held in conjunction with the Interbike International Bicycle Expo in Las Vegas, CrossVegas attracts an international pool of cyclocross athletes from over 15 countries who compete on terrain that includes pavement, grass, steep hills and barriers, requiring cyclists to dismount to navigate obstacles then remount their bicycles to finish the race. Competitors are comprised of the world’s top-ranked men and women in the sport, including multiple national and UCI world champions. In the past, CrossVegas has attracted up to 10,000 spectators. Now that it has received UCI World Cup status, event organizers anticipate a significant increase in attendance.

Forté will help us to achieve that goal.”

CrossVegas athletes compete in one of four races: UCI Elite men, UCI Elite women, “Wheelers & Dealers”, the race’s cycling industry event, and a USA Cycling race for amateur men and women. Registration for the event opens on Aug. 4, 2015 at and is $55 to register. This year’s UCI World Cup race series starts with CrossVegas with the top competitors advancing to the next race in Montreal. Following Montreal, World Cup races will take place in the Netherlands, Belgium and France through the fall and winter.
