St. George, UT, July 16, 2009,– Clik Elite™ wants you to get ugly. The new company designs performance packs for adventure photographers, and to kick off their inaugural Outdoor Retailer show, they are holding the First Annual Ugly Mug Photo Contest.
Contestants will make – or just be born with – a funny face (see photo), Clik™ will photograph it, and the image will be posted at their booth, in their blog, on Facebook, Twitter, Flickr – anywhere that will make the ugly mugs as public as possible. And yes, there will be prizes. “Good natured embarrassment, that is a core goal,” says Clik Elite’s™ Gheen Hillman. We want to have a good time, let people get silly, document it, then put it out for the world to see.”
There will be daily winners on the first three days of the show, and after Outdoor Retailer closes the Clik Elite™ Team will sequester themselves in a secure location to determine Ugliest In Show. This will be announced on the Clik Elite™ website, outdoor industry news services, and on a whole bunch of social media outlets. The owner of this most Ugly Mug will receive the grand prize – a Clik Elite™ Nature 35 pack.
OR attendees can get involved at the Clik™ booth – it’s 38221 in the back of the big building – or watch for the roving photographers. Then keep an eye on clikelite.com, Facebook, and Twitter to see how ugly folks can get at Outdoor Retailer.
