Cloudveil, maker of inspired mountain apparel, kicks off the spring season with an inclusion in the Field and Stream Steelhead Essentials gear review. Editor Kirk Deeter tested the new Snake River Pro Wader and deemed it a “solid combination of durability and comfort for all-season fishing.”

This season’s line is highlighted by the Men’s and Women’s Doublet Jacket, one of Cloudveil’s new hybrids, made from Waterproof Cloudburst™ 2.5 fabric with stretch panels under the arms and across the back. The Doublet fuses water-resistant construction and exceptional knit stretch, representing the next evolution of two progressive technologies: hard shell protection with free-range mobility, for alpinists who need both.

The angling collection also includes a new hybrid, the Riffle Jacket. Impressively packable and made from Cloudburst™ 3L fabric, this flexible and protective storm shell is perfect for foul weather fishing in the unpredictable weather of the Northwest and Alaskan regions.

The new softshell hybrid for the spring season is the Men’s and Women’s Hagen Jacket. This three-season piece provides comfort in a full spectrum of activities. Breathable and durable Cyclone Soft Shell LT Stretch, a bluesign approved fabric, this warmer weather style is ideal for climbing, biking or high alpine hiking that requires flexibility and weather protection. High placed pockets that work with harness or hip belt, and streamlined cuff adjustments, which shave unnecessary excess on the sleeves. The surface DWR treatment keeps moisture shedding off the surface.

Cloudveil is also debuting a new quick-dry layer. Originally designed for the angling market, but carrying over into outdoor due to popularity, the Canopy shirt for men and hoodie for women is a lightweight bamboo layer that is great for wicking and sun protection.

Select pieces of the Cloudveil spring line are available now on Backcountry.com and Zappos.com and more products will be added soon. To find a dealer in your area, go to http://www.cloudveil.com/dealers.
