January 16, 2007 (Jackson, Wyo.) – Cloudveil, producer of innovative technical apparel, launches into its tenth anniversary year reporting record sales growth for year-end 2006.

An 18 percent expansion in outdoor/ski specialty storefronts paired with an average order increase of 45 percent boosted Cloudveil’s 2006 revenue 87% over 2005. Cloudveil’s successful launch into the fly fishing market, which has proven a great complement to the outdoor and ski business, added over 150 new storefronts and more than doubled the company’s spring/summer revenue.

Brian Cousins, President/Co-Founder, explains, “Cloudveil sales exceeded our already optimistic expectations for 2006, and we are launching our most complete collection ever in 2007. We realized strong growth across all current product categories and segments of distribution, and the successful spring launch of our fly-fishing line added significant revenue and points of distribution to our spring/summer business.”

Cousins continues, “Despite our fair share of operations issues resulting from back office systems integration and a new fulfillment facility, all key indicators and field reports illustrate strong demand for Cloudveil and great sell-through at retail. 2007 is all about focus on operational excellence and customer service in order to support our specialty retailers and the growing market demand for Cloudveil.”

To celebrate the milestone 10th anniversary, Cloudveil is publishing a historic brand book and will be offering an anniversary edition of the Serendipity Jacket, the company’s original jacket and the piece that helped create the soft shell category.

Cloudveil will debut its expanded F’07 line at Ski Industries Association (SIA), Outdoor Retailer (OR), and ISPO Markets.

Cloudveil, founded in 1997, is an outdoor apparel manufacturer based in Jackson, Wyoming, that has received critical acclaim for their ground-breaking use of fabric combinations and design, including pioneering efforts in the “Soft Shell” category of outerwear. www.cloudveil.com
