Cloudveil, producer of innovative technical apparel, and its Midwest rep group, Pemba Serves, jointly announce the debut iClinicâ„¢, an alternative to in-person rep clinics.
“The iClinicâ„¢ concept gives retailers and floor staff the opportunity to download a podcast on a specific brand or product 24/7,†explains Brad Werntz from Pemba Serves. Werntz continues, “It allows our vendors to get the word out on their products while simultaneously providing a creative solution to issues in the current marketplace. Podcasting is a natural fit as clinic attendance is an ever-increasing challenge, employee turnover rates increase, and travel and payroll expenses are reaching an all time high.â€
Stephen Sullivan, VP of Global Brand for Cloudveil, explains, “The potential of iClinicâ„¢ is unlimited. Beyond using a medium that the younger consumer clearly relates to, it also links technology to outdoor, building a relationship that has not traditionally existed.â€
The potential of the iClinicâ„¢ ranges from podcasting brand messaging and product specific information at Point-of-Purchase to building a site for industry based video content. Werntz continues, “The great thing about iClinicâ„¢ is the potential and efficiency it offers. It is a dynamic form of interaction that allows retail store staff to access brand and product information on demand in an exciting new medium. How retailers choose to use it – perhaps by subscribing to specific brand feeds – to educate their staff remains to be seen.â€
To generate interest, Werntz is debuting a number of podcasts and asking for submissions to be judged for the First Annual iClinicâ„¢ Film Festival at Outdoor University at Devils Lake, Wisconsin, May 23rd, 2006. Submissions are due May 22, 2006. Complete information is available at www.pembaserves.com.
