COOLCORE TO LAUNCH DR. COOL RECOVERY WRAPS™ SEPT. 2013

First Product to Combine Cold and Compression in

One Flexible Fabric for Recovery-On-The-Go™

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (July 10, 2013) – Coolcore LLC (www.coolcore.com), the global leader in cooling material innovation, will launch Dr. Cool recovery wraps in September 2013. Dr. Cool wraps can be used dry as a compression wrap to support and protect various body parts during activities, or frozen to combine cold and compression to reduce swelling and speed recovery mid or post-activity. To use Dr. Cool wraps as a cold compress, consumers wet the wrap then roll and freeze it; Coolcore’s patented material will keep the fabric colder, longer. The wraps will be launched through the Dr. Cool Web site, www.drcoolrecovery.com, and will be rolled out to broader distribution Spring 2014.

“Injuries happen; it’s part of having fun, but with this proprietary product, you don’t need to be hampered by nagging injuries,” said Ryan Drew, chief marketing officer at Coolcore. “Gone are the days of hard, bulky ice packs that take forever to freeze and crusty beige bandages wrapped around a frozen bag of peas.”

Dr. Cool recovery wraps are available in three sizes to treat a number of areas, including the back, hips, chest, shoulder, ankle, wrist, calf, thigh, knee, and arms. Dr. Cool wraps also enable users to express their personal style with several color options, including a classic camo.

“Dr. Cool is another great example of an innovation powered by our patented, chemical-free Coolcore material,” said Justin Cupps, president of Coolcore. “This is the second time in our short existence that we’ve created an entirely new product category.”

Coolcore recently earned the “Excellence in Technology” recognition from the world-renowned Hohenstein Institute (www.hohenstein.com), recognized globally since 1946 for its market leading testing systems serving the textile industry. It was also awarded an official patent for its technology (patent no. 8,440,119) that covers any chemical-free cooling fabric that transfers moisture away from the skin, while regulating the movement and evaporation of that moisture through the fabric.

In addition to Dr. Cool Recovery-On-The-Go Wraps, Coolcore’s technology can be found in Mission Athletecare’s products used by Serena Williams and Reggie Bush. These products include a cooling towel, hoodie, arm sleeves, skullcap, helmet liner and headbands, all powered by Coolcore.
