Wichita, KA—January 07, 2016—INVISTA’s CORDURA® brand will unveil its latest fabric technology advancements and brand adoptions at the 2016 Winter Outdoor Retailer Show in Salt Lake City, Jan. 7-10, in booth #39213. The brand’s latest innovations include the new CORDURA® Denim Alchemy collection, the Reinforcement Series and the official launch of CORDURA® 4Ever Fleece™.

“We are thrilled to present what we’ve been cooking in the CORDURA® fabric kitchen at Outdoor Retailer,” says global brand and marketing director, Cindy McNaull. “It’s no secret that the recipe for CORDURA® fabric calls for innovation, power, and durability, and these three ingredients have allowed our brand to pay homage to our heritage while finding the inspiration to pioneer our future.”

The 2016 ISPO Textrends jury recently recognized 32 fabrics referencing CORDURA® brand as top-trending fabrics for the fall and winter outdoor markets of 2017-2018. Five of the awarded fabrics featuring the brand’s technology were ISPO’s Top Ten Winners and will also be featured at the OR booth.

The brand’s building of durable bonds propels further with the latest installment to its Meet the Maker Series. Dana Gleason, co-owner of Mystery Ranch, gives insight on their use of CORDURA® fabric, providing assurance and reinforcement to the outdoor explorer, hunter, and warrior alike. CORDURA® fabric and Mystery Ranch will also celebrate their long-standing relationship and the launch of the new series at the CORDURA® x Mystery Ranch ‘Meet the Maker’ booth party #39213 on Friday, Jan. 8 from 4:30-6:00 P.M.

The CORDURA® brand will further showcase new product adoptions including the latest from Icebreaker’s IKA Collection featuring CORDURA® Combat Wool™, as well as new bag and pack styles from Timbuk2, Mountainsmith, Triple Aught Design, as well as leading Japanese trendsetting brands including Nanamica, Head Porter, and more.

Journey into CORDURA® fabric’s innovation kitchen to get a taste of the brand’s latest advancements, including:

A dash of maximum versatility:

CORDURA® fabric has chosen to take its classic CORDURA® Denim fabric, and heat it up a notch with solutions that enhance the durability experience. The CORDURA® Denim Alchemy collection features CORDURA® Denim for SS17 with high tenacity nylon 6,6 remaining at its core combined with new exotic blends of polypropylene, viscose, and elastomerics.

The CORDURA® Denim Alchemy Collection presents outdoor enthusiasts with lightweight performance denims, offering high stretch, quick-dry and temperature regulation capabilities. The fabrics combine the legendary durability of CORDURA® fiber technology, softness of lyocell fiber as well as moisture management, thermal regulation, and innovative stretch functionality to help break through winter’s chill without sacrificing mobility and style.

Two dollops of unmatched strength and durability:

The CORDURA® fabric Reinforcement Collection takes rugged adventure to new heights, offering enhanced wearer protection. The heritage of the brand was fostered through durability and proven performance; this latest reinforcement collection serves as a reflection of CORDURA® fabric’s past while innovating for the future.

Featuring flex, UV-fade resistance, moisture-wicking, non-slip and hi-vis properties in its woven constructions, the CORDURA® Reinforcement Fabric Collection offers a menu of abrasion resistant layers designed for today’s outdoor and urban adventurer alike.

One large sprinkle of comfort:

CORDURA® fabric is also showcasing its new launch of CORDURA® 4Ever Fleece™ consisting of durable soft comfort performance knits and fleeces. The brand made its initial designer collaboration debut with Struktur Studio’s Michelle Rose at the 2015 Summer Outdoor Retailer Show, and will display new concept pieces from her including hoodies and stylish jogging pants for both men and women.

The collaboration pays tribute to the increasing ‘athleisure’ trend, which suits today’s active consumer in pursuit of apparel to ease the transition from an office chair to a yoga mat or even the rock face. The collection is designed to provide added wearer comfort and help reduce the limitations encountered in active outdoor pursuits.
