SALT LAKE CITY – August 9, 2010 – Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah sponsor OC Tanner is offering cycling enthusiasts the opportunity to win a 90-minute bicycle ride in and around majestic Park City with legendary cyclists Bob Roll and Eric Heiden on Saturday, August 21, 2010. The ride is the same day as stage four of the Tour, the Heiden Davidson Orthopedics criterium in downtown Park City. The ride will begin at 8 a.m.

“OC Tanner is a great supporter of the Tour of Utah and we appreciate the fact that they are not only offering this exciting bike ride, but also the opportunity for Bob Roll and Eric Heiden fans to meet and ride with them in Park City,” said Tour of Utah President, Steve Miller.

Those interested in the bike ride can enter at either OC Tanner’s Salt Lake City and Park City retail locations (Salt Lake City: 15 South State Street or Park City: 416 Main Street), or by filling out the entry form on the sponsorship page at www.tourofutah.com between now and August 20 at 3 p.m. Twenty winners will be selected at random from the entries and will be contacted no later than 5 p.m., Friday, August 20.

In addition, OC Tanner is holding an in-store autograph session with Bob Roll on Saturday, August 21 from 2-3 p.m. at their Park City retail showroom located at 416 Main Street. This event is free and open to the public. No advance registration is necessary.

Bob Roll is a legendary American professional cyclist, author and television sports commentator. He was a member of the 7-Eleven Cycling Team until 1990 and competed for the Motorola Cycling Team in 1991. In 1992, Roll moved to Greg LeMond’s Z Team and added mountain biking to his racing accomplishments. Roll is currently a cycling commentator for the Versus cable network’s coverage of the Tour de France.

Eric Heiden is the five-time Gold Medalist from the 1980 Winter Olympics and is considered one of the greatest athletes of all time. After retiring from Speed Skating, Heiden transitioned his athletic abilities to cycling as a founding member of the 7-Eleven Cycling Team and became the 1st US United States National Bicycling Champion and participated in the Tour de France. After retiring from professional cycling, Heiden attended medical school and became an Orthopedic Surgeon. In July 2006, Heiden left UC Davis and relocated to Park City, Utah and now directs the Sports Medicine department at The Orthopedic Specialty Hospital (TOSH) in Salt Lake City, UT.

About the 2010 Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah
Deemed “America’s Toughest Stage Race,” the 2010 Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah presented by Zions Bank, is a six-day, six-stage, 325-mile professional bicycle road race with nearly 30,000 feet of climbing. The race takes place August 17-22, 2010 along the Rocky Mountain’s Wasatch Range through some of Utah’s most beautiful and challenging terrain. The Tour will attract 19 professional cycling teams totaling 144 cyclists competing for a cash/prize purse of $45,000. The 2010 Tour of Utah will be accompanied by a colorful, rolling festival celebration that will take place at the finish line. More than 30,000 spectators are expected to line the racecourse and attend the festivals in Ogden, Park City, Provo, Salt Lake City and Tooele, and 60,000-plus race fans are expected to follow online.
