CW-X Becomes USA Luge Base Layer Supplier

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (July 13, 2006) — USA Luge today announced that CW-X® Conditioning Wear has agreed to a four-year contract as the association’s “official performance base layer supplier.” The agreement takes effect immediately and will continue through the 2010 Winter Games.

“We’re pleased to finally have a formal relationship with USA Luge,” added company executive vice president John L.A. Wilson. “CW-X and USA Luge are both recognized for performance and innovation, and we see this as an excellent opportunity to promote our product as well as support USA Luge athletes in pursuing their dreams.”

Adds Gordy Sheer, USA Luge marketing director and 1998 Olympic silver medalist, “The relationship between CW-X and USA Luge is a great fit. “Their unique technology will not only keep our athletes warm and comfortable while racing, but also provide compression and muscular support during physical training.”

This season, the team will be supplied with the CW-X Insulator line (tops and bottoms), Stabilyx tights, men’s pro tops and sport support bras for women.

In addition to joining USA Luge’s suppliership family, CW-X has also agreed to continue their support of the U.S. national doubles luge team of Mark Grimmette and Brian Martin. Grimmette and Martin, two-time Olympic medalists (Bronze in 1998 and Silver in 2002), will continue to receive financial support as well as product.

“Our continued support of Mark and Brian is as important to us as our relationship with USA Luge,” said Wilson. “Mark and Brian are not only incredible athletes, but great ambassadors for the sport, and hopefully our support will allow them to continue pursuit of being the world’s best luge athletes.”

Wacoal Sports Science has been issued patents for CW-X technology in Japan and Europe, to go with its 15 patents in the U.S. alone. CW-X has been extensively tested and proven in competition by world-class track athletes, international medalists, cyclists in the Tour de France, and climbers on two separate and successful Mt. Everest expeditions.

Wacoal Sports Science Corp. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Japan’s Wacoal Corp. (NASDAQ: WACLY), the world’s largest manufacturer of intimate apparel. It is headquartered in New York City at 136 Madison Avenue. For more information on CW-X, visit their official web site, www.cw-x.com.
