Cybex Institute Announces Master Trainers

MEDWAY, Mass.–The CYBEX Institute, the research arm of Cybex International (NASDAQ: CYBI), has appointed Dr. Paulo Marchetti and Jeremy Boone, CSCS, as Research Fellows and Master Trainers. The Institute, which engages a distinguished group of professionals in the areas of fitness and exercise science, sports performance, and rehabilitation, is a resource for information on human performance to industry colleagues and fitness enthusiasts around the world.

Marchetti and Boone join a distinguished group of professionals in the areas of fitness and exercise science, sports performance, and rehabilitation. They will conduct research on behalf of CYBEX, a leading manufacturer of premium exercise equipment. Their findings will integrate with the Institute’s efforts to lead the industry in human movement science as it applies to fitness equipment and exercise programming.

Marchetti currently conducts research at the University of São Paulo, Brazil. He is the author of Applied Biomechanics: Resistance Training Guide and Periodization of Resistance Training and holds both a Master’s degree and PhD in physical education with a concentration in biomechanics and motor control.

Boone, the founder of Athlete By Design Inc., an international consulting firm working with athletes and teams struggling with athletic performance, is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, a Licensed Neuromuscular Therapist, a Certified Axiological Practitioner, and holds a USAW Sport Performance Certification. He is also founder of InnerTactics Inc., the official home of Sports Axiology that profiles athletes and reveals their decision making patterns during play. Boone has worked with athletes and teams in the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, and WUSA.
