MEDWAY, Mass.– Cybex International, Inc. (NASDAQ:CYBI), a leading manufacturer of premium exercise equipment, announced today that it has namedPatrick House, the Season 10 winner of The Biggest Loser, a CYBEX Fitness Ambassador.

As a CYBEX Fitness Ambassador, House will represent the company at numerous company and industry events to educate the fitness industry and consumers on the high level of performance delivered by the CYBEX brand of cardio and strength training equipment.

House will also write a weekly blog for www.cybexbiggestloser.com discussing his journey and offering his unique insider’s perspective on the ongoing Season 11 competition on The Biggest Loser:http://www.cybexintl.com/promotions/tbl/blog.aspx.

“Having worked out on CYBEX equipment for upwards of ten hours a day on the show, I know how superior CYBEX equipment is. I’m honored and excited to join the CYBEX team,” House said.

House lost a total of 181 pounds on Season 10. “CYBEX equipment played a major role in helping me win The Biggest Loser,” said House. “My win was literally powered by CYBEX. I especially love the Arc Trainer, which enabled me to burn more calories in less time. Frado and I spent hours on it every day on the Ranch,” he added.

Independent, university-based research has demonstrated that the Arc Trainer burns calories faster and with less perceived effort and overall stress on the body than other ellipticals and cross trainers. “The Arc Trainer is in a class by itself. It is not surprising that Patrick and Frado used the Arc Trainer and finished as the top two in weight lost on the show,” said CYBEX Senior Vice President of Business Development, Larry Gulko.

“Since winning The Biggest Loser, Patrick has made it his mission to teach and mentor children struggling with obesity,” said Gulko. “His CYBEX-Biggest Loser success story, coupled with his passion and commitment to enrich the lives of young people and inspire them with a ‘can do’ positive attitude, makes Patrick a perfect CYBEX Fitness Ambassador,” he added.
