Dahlgren Footwear Adds To Collection With New Ski and Casual Offerings

PORTLAND, OR – After a year of laser focus on producing the best outdoor collection on the market, Dahlgren turns the quest for the ultimate in comfort and performance in the direction of the ski and casual market.

Dahlgren has added to its 2010 collection with a new line of socks designed for winter sports, such as skiing, as well as a collection of socks made for casual use that takes Dahlgren’s performance characteristics and applies them to every day uses.

Leading the way for the 2010-11 season is Dahlgren’s Sno style- a warm, dry, and incredibly comfortable sock featuring soft, warm, alpaca and merino wool in the toe, heel, and wicking rings and channels that is coupled with ECO-Dri, a 100 percent post consumer recycled yarn in the evaporation zones, to remove moisture.

With cushion at the shin and under foot for comfort and super thin thoughout the balance of the sock, this style is a perfect choice for skiing as well as many other winter sports.

The Sno Comp style features the same patented, proven effective construction and yarns, however it’s completely without cushion for super-thin performance.

The company is also taking its performance features into the category of casual socks with a collection that is separated into three categories; Dress Casual, Metro and Walking.

Dahlgren stepped back over the past year to reevaluate the line and hone its focus on what Dahlgren has always considered its home base: performance outdoor.

Dahlgren took a year to focus specifically on that category, with a clean simple line of only five styles for men and women. However these five styles were redesigned to be the very best, most comfortable, most effective choice for each category.

After a successful year of focus on the completely redesigned line, with beautiful colors and rapid response shipping, Dahlgren is taking the same focus on design perfection, quality, and supreme comfort to the winter sports and lifestyle collections.

Dahlgren’s exclusive patented Dri-Stride® technology keeps feet drier by utilizing three zones in each sock that work together to provide superior comfort. Each sock offers:

• An Absorption Zone – featuring natural fibers (a blend of the finest alpaca and merino wool) that absorbs more moisture.

• Patented Wicking Rings™ and Wicking Channels™ that accelerate moisture transfer away from the toe zone.
