Earlier this week, publishers of the SIA Snow Show Daily, in conjunction with SnowSports Industries America (SIA), announced plans to launch a SIA Snow Show Preview issue that will provide timely industry insight and a sneak peek of what to expect at the 2012 Snow Show (Jan. 26-29) at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver and the On-Snow Demo/Ski-Ride Fest (Jan. 30-31) at Winter Park Resort and Devil’s Thumb Ranch.
The Snow Show Preview will be mailed in early January to over 12,000 retailers, buyers, suppliers, reps and industry insiders, emailed to 30,000 industry members and available on the 2012 SIA Snow Show Floor. The Snow Show Preview will set the stage for 2012/13 product launches, provide industry analysis for the sell-in/buy-in process and tips for finishing off the 2011/12 sell-through. The Preview issue will also give attendees an idea of what to expect at the SIA Snow Show and On-Snow Demo/Ski-Ride Fest including exhibitor listings, on-site events and helpful tips for getting the most out of the Snow Show.
“There’s a long history of Show preview issues, and in recognition of the Show Show’s importance and the need for strong trade information, we’re bringing the concept back,” said Andy Bigford, Snow Show Daily editor and publisher. “The publication will remain true to our Daily format, with the same staff and insightful reporting. And thanks to SIA’s support, we’re able to offer extremely affordable advertising rates.”
“SIA is always looking to give the industry a head start before the Snow Show. We realize time spent at the Show is precious and can be hectic, so getting a preview will help a lot of people be proactive about planning their Show experience,” commented David Ingemie, SIA’s president.
The Snow Show, January 26-29, at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, is expected to draw more than 19,000 attendees, including suppliers, retailers, reps, athletes and professionals from the snow sports industry. The sold-out Snow Show features over 900 snow sports brands throughout over 330,000 net square feet of exhibit space, representing over 96% of the supplier market share in snow sports. The Snow Show is followed by the On-Snow Demo/Ski-Ride Fest, set for Jan. 30-31 at Winter Park Resort and Devil’s Thumb Ranch.
