2018 Men’s Lifestyle Trend Forecast
For Dakota Grizzly designer Donovan Smith, a “Mountain Modern” aesthetic defines Dakota Grizzly’s 2018/19 collection. Taking inspiration from vintage items, Donovan mixes traditional outdoor silhouettes with new cuts and heritage fabrics and detailing. Whether the inspiration is vintage military or vintage west, outdoor ruggedness is the season’s defining theme.
From active hiking tees to medium weight pullovers, outdoor hoodies and rich flannel jackets with Sherpa linings, this collection has something for everyone. Each piece features a unique detail, like micro-suede trims, leather details or antique zippers.

The Trip Jacket is a flannel and quilted lined field jacket that features a wind and water resistant cotton blend outer shell and unique features such as micro-suede trims, leather details, added storage pockets and antique zippers.
The Hudson Jacket, a travel coat and everyday 3 season outer layer, features a wind and water resistant cotton blend outer shell, two bellowed chest pockets, light insulation, side zip lower pockets, a double flap wind break zipper flap and a YKK heavy duty zipper.
The 2018/19 collection pays careful attention to color and texture, incorporating micro-suede, triple wash chambray, stone field canvas, ballistic twill tapes, heritage herringbone flannels, and double-faced knits.
