Rapid CIty, S.D. – June 30, 2017

Dannon has signed on as the Title Sponsor for the 2017 Strider World Championship. The seventh annual event will be held in Salt Lake City, July 21-22. A Dannon yogurt plant is in nearby West Jordan, Utah. Additional sponsors of the 2017 Strider Cup World Championship include Intermountain LDS Hospital, The Color Run, Competitive Cyclist and Chick-fil-A.
The Strider World Championship is the culmination of a series of qualifying races held in North America, Asia, Europe, and South America. Over 350 riders between two and five years old are expected to compete, as well as 30 racers with special needs. Over ten countries will be represented in the world’s premier balance bike racing competition.
“We are truly fortunate to have the support of a global brand like Dannon,” said Ryan McFarland, Strider Sports’ founder and CEO. “As our company has grown worldwide and our championships have expanded, we have sought to align ourselves with companies who focus on health, nutrition, and putting smiles on faces. Dannon is a perfect partner for our company and our events.”
In addition, the local West Jordan Dannon plant has partnered with Strider and will be hosting an employee “Strider Bike Build”. The 50 Strider bikes and helmets will be donated to the local Head Start Program in Utah on July 10th so that children as young as 2 years old can learn how to balance and ride on two wheels.
